The 3rd International Symposium on Carbon Materials (ISCM-3) serves as a premier global platform to foster meaningful connections among carbon materials researchers and showcase their groundbreaking work. Our mission is to bridge fundamental science and real-world applications, creating a collaborative environment where ideas from across the globe converge.

For the 2027 edition, ISCM-3 highlights the critical role of carbon in addressing global challenges, with a specialized focus on four core pillars:

Carbon Materials for Energy
Advancing next-generation energy storage and conversion technologies, including batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, electrolyzers, and hydrogen production.

Carbon Materials for Sustainability
Developing carbon-based solutions for carbon capture and conversion, water purification, pollutant removal, green catalysis, resource recovery, and circular carbon technologies.

Diverse Carbon Allotropes and Architectures
Exploring the synthesis, characterization, and physics of 0D to 3D carbon structures, from fullerenes, nanotubes, graphene, and graphite to porous carbons, carbon black, and emerging carbon architectures.

Bio-functional Carbon Materials
Investigating the interface between carbon science and biotechnology, including biosensors, drug delivery, tissue engineering, antimicrobial materials, and biocompatible interfaces.

We invite researchers, students, and industry professionals to join us in Kaohsiung to share their latest findings, build lasting partnerships, and help define the future of carbon science.
